The brief
LoCandles makes soy candles and wax melts by hand, in small batches, in Greece. They needed a shop that feels as cosy as the products and explains wax melts to people who have never used them.
What I built
- A product catalogue with filters for candles or wax melts and for availability, plus sorting by price or newest.
- Product pages with several photos and a shipping and returns section.
- A swipeable stack of product cards on the home page.
- A simple candle or wax melt? explainer with how-to-use steps.
- A four-step section that shows how each piece goes from their hands to your home.
- Seasonal gift boxes: Bakery, Christmas and Easter.
- A short FAQ, and the whole shop in Greek and English.
How it works
It is a headless store: a fast Next.js storefront on top of Medusa, which looks after products, prices and the cart. It runs behind Cloudflare. The handwritten-style lettering and the cream and caramel colours come straight from the brand, so the site feels like opening one of their boxes.
