travelwitholin — travel blog & photo portfolio

The brief

travelwitholin is a personal travel blog. The traveller behind it needed a home for years of trips: strong photography, real stories, and an easy way for readers to wander from one country to the next.

What I built

An illustrated world map with pins on the places visited.
A photo gallery you can filter by country or region.
A blog with full, dated stories sorted into categories.
Teasers by landscape: forest, mountain and desert.
An about section and a simple contact form.

How it works

The site runs on WordPress with the Phlox Pro theme, hosted on Hostinger behind Cloudflare. I kept the design dark so the photos do the talking, and the big images load as you scroll, so the first screen appears quickly even on a slow connection. Writing a new post or adding photos happens from the normal WordPress dashboard, with no developer needed.
